Is it really a pitch black dining experience ?

Yes, our dining rooms are completely dark.

Is the kitchen dark too?

No, kitchen is lit and our kitchen staff are not visually-impaired.

How long does the experience last?

The entire experience takes about 2 hours total on average, with 1.5 hours inside the pitch black dining room.

Does O.Noir have a dress code?

We do not have a dress code – please come as you are! We do, however, ask guests to kindly refrain from wearing glow-in-the-dark clothing and/or accessories, as these can ruin the experience for other guests.

Can we bring our own wine?

No. We do have a fully licensed bar with a variety of wine and drinks.

Can we bring our own desserts?

If we are notified in advance (ideally at the time of booking) we will allow guests to bring a cake for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. Upon arrival, the cake will be brought to the kitchen where it will be cut, then served to your table in the dark dining room when you are finished your main course. We charge a handling/service fee ($5) for this.

Are children welcome?

O.Noir does not have an age limit, and children are certainly welcome.

That being said, we do find that most children under the age of 6 are not ready for this kind of experience. But you know your kids better than we do, so feel free to use your own discretion; we’ve had younger children dine with us and have a great time!

At this time, we do not offer discounted prices or a special menu for children.

What about food allergies and dietary restrictions?

We do our best to accommodate people with allergies and other dietary restrictions. Please note that guests MUST mention them to our hosts upon arrival.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes! ONoir Gift Certificates are $50, $60 or $75 each, covering a two-course meal, a three-course meal, or a three-course and a drink, including tax, respectively.  They can be purchased either in the restaurant, or by calling 416-922-NOIR (6647) with credit card information, and we then email you a scanned copy.  They are not offered in electronic form. Gift certificates are honored as cash, non-refundable and with no expiry date.

Do you have special prices for groups?

Yes! Please contact us for further details if you have a group of 15 or more. Due to our uniqueness and level of service, high discount rates or commercial advertisements offerings are not available. Group rates are not available on Fridays, Saturdays, and busy holidays.

Can we change or cancel reservations?

Yes, changes of reservations (such as the date or the number of people for dining) or cancellation can be made. For a booking size of 4 people or more, we request at least a 24-hour notice for cancellation or changes. For smaller bookings (<4), notification before noon of the reserved dining date is required. Please consult with O.Noir management for the cancellation policy for corporate events or groups of 20 or more.

Do you provide parking?

No, unfortunately, we do not provide parking.

But there is metered street parking available in the area, and 2 public parking facilities within a 2 block radius to O.Noir (a parking lot at Church & Bloor, and a parkade  Charles & Yonge).

Notice and Disclaimer:

1) There are very small fraction of guests who may feel less comfortable after entering the dark room. Guide servers may suggest you to stay longer and adjust yourself, and many do become more comfortable and then enjoy the whole experience. But guests should judge your anxiety level and decide whether to stay or to be guided out of the dark room.

2) There are guests who may have serious allergy but would like to explore the unique O.Noir features including surprise dishes, and please be mindful about your allergy and sensitivity level, and communicate in full clarity to eliminate health risks.
